Great school holiday entertainment for all the family! Queensland Air Museum are hosting an Open Cockpit Weekend on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th July.

As the name suggests, the cockpits of several aircraft will be open for public inspection. Museum visitors are invited to actually sit in the cockpits of selected aircraft including the iconic F-111, Mirage Jet and Vintage Douglas DC3.

Plus there is a huge Air-side display of vintage and veteran aircraft and maybe a visit from the RAAF aircraft (weather permitting).

The Open Cockpit Weekend will also include:

• Jumping Castle free for kids.
• Airport flight line display of vintage aircraft
• Coffee van
• Live music
• Sausage sizzle and other great food options
• A huge range of aviation models and model kits as well QAM polo shirts, F-111 caps and a large range of souvenirs.

Admission costs: $20 Adults, $10 Children $40 Family Pass, Concession/student $15.

Open: 9am to 4pm
