A tremendous family Christmas spectacle! The Mooloolaba Christmas Boat Parade begins at Mooloolaba Wharf and winds its way throughout the Sunshine Coast waterways with colourfully decorated boats.

Boat owners adorn their boats in Christmas lights and decorations and cruise down the waterways of the Sunshine Coast where spectators can watch them go by. There will be no doubt be a few Santas aboard the boats! The best-dressed boat is then judged back at Mooloolaba Yacht Club.

Homeowners also get into the Christmas spirit and light up their houses to compete in the best-dressed home competition.

The course going in anti-clockwise direction, starts from The Mooloolaba Wharf to the end of Mooloolah Island, then down the main Kawana canal to Lawries Marina, back to the river, along past La Balsa Park and then back to The Mooloolaba Wharf for judging.

Grab a picnic hamper and rug and find a spot in the parks along the course to watch this unique parade of boats.

Time: 6:30pm until 11:59pm
