The Island Charity Swim, an open ocean swimming event, is a true test of endurance for long-distance ocean swimmers and is taking place on Saturday 11 May at Mudjimba Beach.
The challenging 11km swim course, the second longest open water swim in Australia, commences from Mudjimba Beach taking competitors around Mudjimba Island (Old Woman Island) to Mooloolaba Beach. This open ocean event has a course that takes swimmers approximately two kilometres off shore and up to four hours to complete.
The swim is a unique challenge, not only for a very worthy cause but its completion guarantees your inclusion in swimming folklore, an exclusive club reserved for those who meet the sponsorship requirements and complete the course.
The endurance swim is a major fundraiser for the amazing and inspirational children at the Nambour and Currimundi Special schools. For registration and more information visit Island Charity Swim
