ACTVENTURE Ground Breaking Water Park

ACTVENTURE Groundbreaking Water Park Coming to the Sunshine Coast!

A $450 million water-themed tourist park will surge ahead in 2019 on the Sunshine Coast at Steve Irwin Way, Beerwah.

ACTVENTURE will be the only destination in the world that will combine a major waterpark, hotel and conference facilities, retail, world class surf wave pool, action sports and other modern leisure activities.

Stage 1 of the project which combines the waterpark, ACTVENTURE tower, and the Cove is expected to attract 1 million visitors annually.

The four-phase, 24-hectare project will include in its first phase, a state of the art water park, and a great lawn for major events, concerts, and community activities. The world’s first ACTVENTURE Tower will provide thrill seekers with adrenaline pumping activities such as bungee jumping, freefalling, human slingshot, ziplines and more. The outdoor adventure park will offer activities including aerial bike monorail, dinner in the sky, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, flyboarding, electric skateboarding, and zorb soccer, to name but a few. The initial phase will also include a 6,000 square metre retail and restaurant precinct.

The Sunshine Council approved the work on 4th September 2017 and preliminary works and earthworks are currently underway. The bulk earthworks will entail around 150,000 cubic metres of cut and fill, including a new lagoon area and the beautification of the existing waterways, and immediate preparations for Stage 1 of construction, and all future stages.

With it’s close proximity to Caloundra this will inject more tourism into the area.
