The Sunshine Coast is a great destination for foodies and gourmets, with an abundance of local food growers and producers. Take a look at some of the great markets, factories and cooking schools to be discovered in Caloundra and surrounds.

Caloundra Street Fair
Stop by for fresh local food, delicious breakfasts, coffee, and delicious sweet treats, under the canopy of the beautiful tree-lined main street. Perfect for picking up supplies for your stay at Monaco Apartments Caloundra.

Kawana Waters Farmers Market
The regions farmers gather here to show off their finest foods and produce including creamy cheeses, sauces and delicious fresh fruits. The venue is under cover, so operates in all weather.
Where: Kawana Waters State College, 19 Sportsmans Parade, Bokarina.
(Approximately 15 minute drive)
When: Saturdays from 7am until 12 pm.

Tamarind Cooking School
Taking a cooking class with expert chefs in a state of the art cooking school, overlooking inspirational gardens in the heart of a beautiful rainforest. Making delicious dishes with a modern twist, the classes focus of preparation, cooking and presentation. Classes include lunch, wine, a complimentary The Long Apron branded apron and recipes.

The Ginger Factory
At this unique tourist attraction and working factory you’ll have the opportunity to shop for treats or dine onsite.
Ginger Town is a heritage style village where you can pick up a range of goodies including sweet treats, macadamia’s and condiments.
Within the Ginger Shop you will discover the largest selection of Buderim Ginger products in the world, including an extensive and unique selection of gourmet foods.
Dine in at Ginger Café for meals showcasing the best of seasonal produce from the Sunshine Coast.
If you’ve still got room, head to the Ice Creamery for a freshly churned onsite ice cream or one of their famous parfaits!

Nutworks and the Chocolate Factory
Located opposite the Ginger Factory, this is the Sunshine Coast Hinterland’s very own Macadamia nut processing factory. Each weekday delicious chocolate treats and handmade confectionery is produced fresh onsite, where you can watch the process and try scrumptious samples. Learn about the health benefits of Macadamia nuts, and shop for Macadamias and confectionary at factory prices.
Where: Nutworks, 37 Pioneer Road, Yandina
(Approximately 30 minutes drive)
When: Open seven days from 9am until 5pm. Closed on Christmas Day. Confectionary making is only on weekdays.
