Known as “The Aussies”, the Australian Surf Life Saving Championships is commencing on 16 April and runs right through to 24 April 2016.

Events for The Aussies 2016 will be split between the four venues as follows;

Maroochydore SLSC – Water events
Alexandra Headland SLSC – Lifesaving and Surfboats
Coolumn Beach – Board riding (dependent on suitable surf break conditions – back up is Alexandra Headland south of surf club)
Mooloolaba SLSC – Beach events

The championships consists of a two week festival of surf lifesaving sport action including:

Australian Youth Surf Life Saving Championships, April 16 – 17
Australian Masters Surf Life Saving Championships, April 18 – 19
Australian Open Surf Life Saving Championship, April 20 – 24
