The world’s best outriggers are coming to the Sunshine Coast to compete at the Va’a World Elite and Club Sprints Championships at Lake Kawana from 5 to 15 May 2016.

With 35 invited countries, around 3,000 competitors and thousands of spectators this event brings the world paddling community and the excitement of the world’s fastest outrigger canoe sprint racing to the Sunshine Coast.

The Va’a World Sprints 2016 will showcase the world’s fastest Va’a (outrigger canoe) paddlers with 1 person (V1), 6 person (V6) and 12 person (V12) events. Age divisions range from 16 years to over 70 years.
